The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is allegedly working on the upcoming Ace 5 lineup comprising the OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro.
There have been quite a few talks about the smartphones in the past and according to a report received a few days ago, they will be equipped with a 50 MP Sony IMX9 series camera.
Tipster Digital Chat Station recently mentioned on the popular Weibo platform that the series will be released in the Chinese market and the manufacturer is expected to announce them in the home country towards the end of December this year or the beginning of January next year.

The tipster has now put up another interesting Weibo post highlighting the battery and processor details of the Ace 5 lineup.
Battery Setup of OnePlus Ace 5, Ace 5 Pro
According to the leak, the Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to be packed with a 6500 mAh battery. The silicon content in the battery will be +/-10%.
The battery has 6300 mAh to 6500 mAh as the maximum capacity at present. The smartphones will come with dual-cell 100 W rapid charging capability.
Processor Details
The leak does not mention the names of the processors that will be used in the OnePlus Ace 5 and OnePlus Ace 5 Pro. However, the codenames indicate what the processors are likely to be in the two handsets.

The Ace 5 smartphone will house Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset identified with the codename SM8650. On the other hand, the Ace 5 Pro will be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor featuring the codename SM8750.
Other Specifications
The Ace 5 series is slated to feature a middle frame made of metal and a ceramic build for enhanced durability. The smartphones are also speculated to encompass a BOE X2 flat display with 1.5K resolution support. Going by the leak, there will be a JN1 sensor in the telephoto lens of the Pro model. The main camera will have a big sensor of 1/1.56 inches size.
The OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are slated to run on Android 15 layered with ColorOS 15.
