It has been coming, but it is now official that the selfie-centric Oppo F1S will be unveiled on the first week of August, specifically on 3rd.
As you may have probably guessed it, the S in the name of the phone could probably be there to show off the Selfie powers of the Oppo F1S. The phone comes in to continue the tradition of the Oppo F series with respect to selfie cameras, something that has made these handsets known to many who love taking selfies.
The Chinese OEM started sending press invitations to media houses with respect to the launch of the Oppo F1S. While the invite brings about just what we already knew about the upcoming phone, the fact that media invites have been issued is just a reminder that the Oppo F1S is indeed coming. In fact, this may just be an intentional move by the company since this date will be marred with numerous devices coming to life, among them the Galaxy Note 7 (August 2), a new Windows 10 Anniversary update as well as Xbox One S, just to name but a few.
According to the report, Oppo is adamant that the Oppo F1S is set to “step up the selfie revolution.” The company also adds that the legacy of excellent photography, premium design and fast performance it has built over time with respect to the F1 series will still be maintained, while at the same time adding new features and improving others.
As for the exact spec sheet, there is nothing much to say about the Oppo F1S, apart from the fact that it will have a 16MP selfie camera. Of course, the phone is also expected to carry on with some of the features found on the Oppo F1, but it is not yet known which ones. In terms of pricing, the Oppo F1S should be available for a price tag that is similar to the F1.
