Oppo F3 Plus Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update Almost Ready

Oppo F3 Plus

The Oppo F3 Plus is the latest flagship phone from the Chinese OEM and in fact, it’s not long since the phone was unveiled in the Indian market.

Given that the device has been preinstalled with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, it appears that Oppo wants users of the phablet to update it to Android 7.1.1 Nougat once they have it from the shelves. The Oppo F3 Plus has not been released just yet, but it appears that the tech giant is already working on releasing the update to the latest OS in town.

The fact that Oppo F3 Plus will probably be skipping directly from Android Marshmallow to Android 7.1.1 Nougat is also very interesting. Many OEMs prefer to take the usual direction, jumping to Android 7.0 Nougat first before moving onto the newer v7.1.1.

Even though the Oppo F3 Plus appears to be testing Android 7.1.1 Nougat, the fact that it has been listed on GFXBench doesn’t give us a specific release date. However, it gives us a hint of how soon this OS could start rolling out to the device, which is probably within this month. On GFXBench, the phone has been listed with model number R6051.

Oppo F3 Plus

As noted above, the Oppo F3 Plus is still new in the market and it’s the company’s high-end selfie expert. It packs an impressive dual-lens camera on the front where you get 16MP and 8MP sensors. As for the back panel, the F3 Plus packs a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor with a large f/1.7 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. Under the hood, the handset has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 SoC that is clocked at 2.2GHz and is paired with 4GB RAM.

There’s 64GB of storage and an Adreno 510 GPU. For the display, the Oppo F3 Plus packs an impressive 5.5-inch screen with a Full HD resolution. To keep the F3 Plus alive is a monster 4000mAh battery unit that supports the company’s proprietary fast charging technology called VOOC Flash Charge.
