Oppo F3 Plus Specs and Features Leaked as Launch Closes in

Oppo F1

The Oppo F3 and Oppo F3 Plus are the next-gen smartphones in the company’s F series that are set to be announced this month.

As usual, the company’s reliance on the selfie camera as the major selling point for its phones is expected to be felt all through the Oppo F3 series. The front will ship with a dual-lens camera, something that we see as bringing the war to Vivo’s doorstep. The latter recently unveiled the Vivo V5 and V5 Plus where the Plus model has a dual-lens camera of 20MP+8MP, with the standard variant dropping the 8MP sensor on the front panel.

Oppo F3 and F3 Plus will be unveiled at an event on March 23 and in fact, the tech company has already sent out invitations for the event. With a few weeks before these phones are unveiled to the world, all the technical specs of the Oppo F3 Plus have leaked and even though there is nothing on the standard F3, the leaked version should give us a hint of what’s coming.

Apparently, the Oppo F3 Plus will ship with a huge 6.0-inch display screen with a 1080p resolution and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 on top of it for protection. Under the hood, the phone packs a Snapdragon 653 SoC that is paired with a RAM of 4GB. For storage purposes, you get 64GB and if this is not enough, you can add a 256GB microSD card.

One downside is that the Oppo F3 Plus will still ship with the year-old Android Marshmallow, but an update to Android Nougat should come at some point in future. As noted earlier, the camera aspect is what makes the Oppo phones tick. The company has packed a dual 16MP+8MP setup on the front of the F3 Plus while the back has a decent 16MP sensor. So far, there’s no word on whether both ends will come with a LED flash, but we expect to see one on the back of the phone.

To keep the Oppo F3 Plus alive, you’ll have a 4000mAh battery unit that should support fast charging technology. The phone also comes with the latest connectivity standards including 4G LTE, measures 7.35mm thick and weighs 185g.

Be warned that this is not official as the phone has not been launched yet. With the event just weeks away, it shouldn’t be long before we find out the truth in this as well as the specs and features of the standard Oppo F3.
