A new survey states that Overwatch 2 could be getting new map features soon. Some of the new map features that could be incorporated into the game soon are destructible environments, weather effects and collectible bluffs.
Once in a while, Overwatch 2 carries out surveys to know what players want, how recently introduced content has been received and get ideas that could be implemented in the future. The subject of a particular survey could be very different from another. Recently, through a survey, skin ideas were discussed and cosmetics modeled on Japanese folklore, steampunk and other themes were explored.

Another survey, which was carried out recently, explored gameplay elements including some map features that could alter the game significantly in the future. As per Overwatch Cavalry, the recipients were asked to share their opinions on destructible environments in Overwatch 2. It also discussed the concept of environmental and weather effects, which happens to be a feature that Blizzard had plans to explore in Overwatch 2. While there is no guarantee that these features will be incorporated in the future, one can be sure about the fact that they are being considered by Overwatch 2.

While these ideas are interesting, they have received a variety of reactions from fans. Destructible environments also happen to be an important feature in Marvel Rivals, which is scheduled to release on December 6.
