Poco M4 Pro 5G global launch seems imminent as the device has now received certification from IMDA and FCC.
5G enabled Poco M4 Pro is in the works, which is reportedly set to launch globally in the last week of October or in early November 2021. We can expect the new Poco phone to launch in India sometime later this year. Poco M4 Pro will come as a successor to Poco M3 Pro 5G, which was released in May.
The M4 Pro 5G was recently spotted on the IMEI database with model number – 21091116AG. Now, the device has bagged approval from IMDA and FCC authorities, in a clear indication of an imminent launch.
The FCC listing reveals that it will be offered in two storage configurations – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variants. The phone supports 7 5G bands – n5, n7, n38, n41, n66, n77, and n78. It supports NFC and boots Xiaomi’s MIUI 12.5 custom skin at the top.
This model has also been spotted on 3C, TENAA, and EEC certification websites. As per the 3C listing, the new Poco phone supports 33W fast charging. The phone is said to be powered by a MediaTek chipset. Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station claims that the phone has a punch-hole display, 50MP primary camera, and a 120Hz high refresh rate support.
The Poco M4 Pro 5G will arrive as a successor to the Poco M3 Pro 5G, which has 6.5-inch 1080p LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by Dimensity 700 5G SoC. Poco M3 Pro 5G features a triple camera setup on the back that includes a 48MP primary shooter, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
An 8MP shooter is there for selfies and video calling. It packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. For the M4 Pro 5G, we can expect some design tweaks, processor upgrades, and better cameras.
