By completing a new set of tasks, that serve as a replacement for ones suffering from glitches, players can get more legendaries.
If you are a Pokemon Go player, you have the chance to catch 11 legendary Pokemon for free. In the game, one mostly gets legendary Pokémon by finding a way to defeat them in raids. There have, however, been occasions when one has been able to earn legendary Pokemon via Special Research tasks. They also come to players in the form of Field Research Breakthrough rewards at times.
When Pokemon GO legendaries are accessible outside the ambit of raids, players are required to put in some effort to earn them. Those who have tried out the Special Research tasks in the past are well aware of how time-consuming and challenging they can prove to be. The Field Research Breakthrough Rewards can only be earned once a week. Because of this, the fact that players can now add 11 more legendaries to their Pokedex without putting in much effort has come as a bit of a surprise.

Pokemon GO, as a part of its Unova celebrations, has brought in a new Raids Timed Research referred to as Road to Unova. Players, by completing raids, get to earn an encounter with a legendary Pokemon. In the past, players have stumbled upon an issue that resulted in them not getting credit for the tasks. When Niantic got a whiff of this issue, it duplicated the tasks. By doing this, it ensured that players, while auto-completing existing tasks, have new ones to complete. Even if a player has not completed a single raid, they will get 11 free legendary Pokemon. While they still have to work towards catching the legendary Pokemon after finishing these tasks, the legendaries will not run away now.

Since the tasks will expire in a few days, it would be advisable for PokemonGO players to claim free legendaries at the earliest. The legendaries happen to be from the Unova region and comprise Cobalion, Landorus, Terrakion, Thundurus, Tornadus, Virizion and five Genesects.

If somebody wants to catch more legendaries, they will have to complete a new set of tasks by winning raids.
They also have the option of redeeming a new set of Pokemon GO codes to get fresh tasks that implore them to catch 156 Pokemon hailing from the Unova region. This will also lead them towards unlocking additional encounters with Thundurus, Landorus and Tornadus.
