Redmi K40s (or Redmi K50 Series Phone) is reportedly in the works and might launch next year with 120W fast charging support.
Xiaomi has reportedly started working on a new Redmi phone with a 120 Hz OLED display and Snapdragon 870 chipset. The information comes straight from a reliable Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. While he has not revealed the device name, speculations are rifle that it could debut as Redmi K40s or a Redmi K50 series phone. Now, three Xiaomi K16 code-named phones have been spotted on 3C certification, which reportedly belongs to the Redmi K40s (or Redmi K50 series).

According to the 3C listing, these three new devices carry model numbers – 21091116UC, 21091116C, and 21091116AC. All three devices support 5G connectivity. As per the listing, Xiaomi 21091116UC supports 120W fast charging, the Xiaomi 21091116C supports 67W fast charging, and the Xiaomi 21091116AC supports 33W fast charging.
According to the tipster Digital Chat Station, the new Snapdragon 870 SoC-powered Redmi phone has a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1080 x 2400px resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The phone is tipped to feature a 50MP primary camera on the rear side. He reports that the device will hit the market next year. If it’s true, then Xiaomi is likely to bring it as a Redmi K50 series phone.

As of now, there’s no word from Xiaomi regarding the launch of the Redmi K40s or Redmi K50 series. Rumors are that the Redmi K40s could launch as a re-branded Xiaomi 11T series which was recently launched in the global market. The Xiaomi 11T series includes two models – Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro. The regular 11T offers an OLED display, Dimensity 1200 SoC, 108MP triple cameras, and a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. The Pro model has Snapdragon 888 SoC, AMOLED display, 108MP triple cameras, and a 5000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
