Sony has announced the free games for the month of January for PS Plus members on PS4, PS3 and Playstation Vita consoles.
The subscription will allow gamers to enjoy free titles every month which could range from top AAA titles to indie gems and multiplayer mayhem. The selection of games had always been a diverse choice designed to appease players with varying expectations. The list of games available for the month of January is not groundbreaking yet should offer you hours of fun before a new lot of games are launched.
Day of the Tentacle Remastered, This War of Mine: The Little Ones are coming to the Playstation 4 console. For such a powerful console as this one, people probably expected more AAA titles to kick off the New Year. However, it might sound a tad disappointing. Ardent fans are already engaged in deep conversation of whether this is a good choice or not in the Playstation blog where the announcement was made.
If you are a gamer who doesn’t accept indies as your free games, the upcoming month’s collection of PS Plus membership games is sure to disappoint. However, they are amazing for everyone else who are open to trying new titles and making the most out of it. For PS3 gamers, Sony offers the Blazerush, The Swindle making it a decent pick for the aging console. There are hardly any games lined up for launch and it is high time PS3 owners upgrade their machines to the latest piece of hardware, the PS4 console if not the Pro version.
Things seem to be really amazing for PS Vita owners. Sony is accused of abandoning the handheld console by many but they do keep rolling out some games to keep it alive. With Nintendo getting ready to announce Switch next month, it might pique the interest of gamers in the handheld scenario once again giving a new lease of life to Vita. Besides, the hardware is more than enough to run another two years and all it needs is some noteworthy titles. PS Plus January deal includes Titan Souls, Azkend 2 for PS Vita. And, there’s also Day of the Tentacle Remastered and The Swingle which will be available on the handheld platform through cross buy system.
Out of the lot, This War of Mine seems the most promising because of its strategy and decision making elements which when combined with resource management makes it a worthy title to checkout on your Playstation 4 console.
