Sony’s 10 Anniversary celebration sale is now live and if you own any one of the platforms, be it the PS4, PS3 or even the abandoned PS Vita, it’s time to hoard some games for the next few months.
The discounts are really good as Sony wanted to make sure they offer something substantial to their gamers on such a huge occasion. There are a lot of bundles, some exclusive discounts on first party titles and many games that you might wanted to check out but postponed due to cost. Black Friday and other discount season is just around the corner. But, a lot of companies have started selling stuff for cheap much earlier than the big day began.
A notable bundle that you could hardly miss is the Bloodborne bundle priced at $24.99. If you have never had the chance to play Rockstar’s amazing Bully, this could be the time. The game is being sold for $11.24 on the PS4 console and worth every penny. Just like many other Rockstar titles, this has great replay value and offers open world exploration within a school. Another important bundle is the Grand Theft Auto trilogy at $24.49 and GTA San Andreas at $11.24.
While many games are more nostalgic than current gen, you can be sure that most PS3 and PS Vita games would run without any performance issues. Even those titles that are really old and ported to PS4 will be much better than new games that often has frame rate issues, resolution changes among lots of updates almost every other day after launch.
A similar list of games that are already discounted on the Playstation 4 console is being sold on the Playstation 3 platform as well. Games like Metal slug series, Resident Evil 3, Mega Man 8, Twisted Metal and a couple of games from the Street Fighter series are available on the PS3 console for less than $5. The PS Vita gets Broken Age at $4.99 , Dino Crisis from PS1 for $2.99 and Metal Slug X at $2.99.
The discounts are much higher for players who are subscribed to the Playstation Plus subscription program. While the sale doesn’t have many AAA or latest titles, they still have a lot of games worth checking out and some old school games which will give you quality fun. The PS3 and PS Vita games are very cheap making it an easy buy until you wait for the prices of Titanfall 2 or Battlefield 1 to drop to feasible numbers.
