The Google Pixel and Pixel XL are now three months old following their October 2016 release. At the time of launch, the search engine giant confirmed that the phones will be sold in three color variants – Quite Black, Very Silver and Really Blue.
As at the time of this writing, all three color variants have been available to U.S. buyers, but still, the degree of availability or rather stock has been varying. In fact, the main reason as to why the Really Blue color variant of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL hasn’t been sold in other markets so far is because Google had mentioned that this finish will be a U.S. exclusive. But as it seems, this is no more.
According to a report coming from Canada, the Really Blue Google Pixel and Pixel XL will soon be sold in the country. However, this color variant will reportedly remain exclusive to Rogers carrier. The carrier already sells the Quite Black and Very Silver color variants. For now, it is not known whether it will be selling the Really Blue variant without the Share Everything Plan since the YouTube ad only mentions this plan.
Whether the Google Store will also allow Canadians to purchase the Really Blue Google Pixel and Pixel XL after this update remains to be seen. Furthermore, the Canadian carrier has not mentioned a thing about the possible availability of the new finish as well as the price details. A quick look at the official Rogers website reveals that the new Google Pixel and Pixel XL color variant is not yet available for purchase.
Despite its unavailability at the moment, it is definitely a good thing that Google has decided to launch the Really Blue color variant of the Pixel phones in Canada. Still, some people might not be happy that this finish of the Google Pixel and Pixel XL can only be found on Rogers. Adding it to the country’s Google Store would really be a great idea as well. We’ll update you in case this happens. Keep following us!
