Xiaomi is among the leading smartphone sellers not just in China and Asia, but the world as a whole. The company sits behind Samsung, Apple and Huawei in world rankings when it comes to smartphone sales.
While the Chinese OEM has been hitting the headlines with its latest flagship – Xiaomi Mi5 – the company is also planning to unveil the successor the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. According to the latest rumors, the company will be coming in with two variants of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
Just recently, the company unveiled a phablet by the name Xiaomi Mi Max, with the device reportedly receiving more than 10 million applicants for the first sale. As it seems, more of this phone’s units will be sold once it goes on official sale.
As mentioned earlier, this year has already seen Xiaomi come in with quite a number of devices. Besides the flagship Mi5 and phablet Mi Max, the company released the Redmi Note 3 early this year. Given that the Redmi Note 3 was announced in August last year, speculations are pointing towards an August release date for Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 specs
As usual, rumors cannot go unnoticed and as far as the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is concerned, we already have something for you. We already mentioned that the phone will reportedly be coming with two variants and according to a new rumor, one version will pack a 64-bit MediaTek Helio X20 SoC with 10 cores whereas the other will ship with a 64-bit Helio P10 SoC with 8 cores.
Further details coming from the rumor indicate that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will feature a huge 5.5-inch display unit, but there is no mention of the resolution it will feature. As far as the rear snapper is concerned, you will be getting a 13MP sensor. Still, you might come across a dual-camera setup on one of the variants once the Redmi Note 4 is released. However, there is no any form of confirmation that has come from the company’s side.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 remains to be one of the most affordable, but very capable devices. In fact, the entire Redmi Note series can be considered as a mid-range family. However, if the Chinese OEM opts to use the said Helio X20 in one of the phone’s variants, it is possible that many will come to fall in love with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, especially the price is kept at an affordable rate as with its predecessors.
If all goes well, the Redmi Note 4 will be announced somewhere in July or August. As for now, keep in mind that this is based on rumors and in fact, be ready for a few more in the coming days.
