The LG V20 was actually LG’s best phone in 2016 and it really helped alleviate the loss the LG G5 had brought in, but its success was also helped by the woes of Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
The Galaxy Note 7 was released a little bit earlier than the LG V20, but the phone came in at the right time, just when some users of the former had started reporting issues with the phone. As a result, the V20 managed some good sales, but LG will definitely want to make things even better with the phone’s successor, the LG V30.
However, if the latest leak is anything to go by, the South Korean tech giant might be in for some tough business. The leaked image shows off the phone’s front panel. Even though fans will be glad that the dual-lens selfie camera that featured on the LG V10 might be on its way back, the design of the phone on the bottom end of is a no looker. After a great job with the bezels of the LG G6, the company could do better than this leak with respect to the V30.
Even though the side bezels aren’t the smallest, they are not that big as well. The LG V30 should also retain the secondary display screen that has become a mainstay in the company’s V series. We have no view of the back panel, but we can expect another dual-lens camera setup alongside a fingerprint scanner, just like other LG flagships.
The LG V20 has a removable battery, but with the company seemingly leaving behind this feature, it is possible that the LG V30 will follow in the footsteps of the G6. The same hardware specs that will be powering other 2017 flagships is also expected to be under the hood of the V30, among them the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, 64GB storage and more RAM than last year’s 4GB.
