Samsung has unveiled a number of smartphones this year, but the company has not been active with the Galaxy A series, with the only device coming to life being the Galaxy A9 Pro.
The South Korean tech giant launched the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7 and the phablet Galaxy A9 close to a year ago and up to now, the next-gen versions of these handsets have not been announced. However, it seems the year will not come to a conclusion before some of these devices, or probably all, have been made public. This is especially true since the current Galaxy A devices were launched in December 2015, meaning it is about time that Samsung refreshed this series in readiness for 2017.
Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is one of the few Galaxy A series’ devices that has featured prominently in latest leaks. Sometimes back, the handset made an appearance on benchmarking site GFXBench and earlier this month, the same handset made an appearance at the FCC. Given the latter move, it was only a matter of time before Samsung went live with the Galaxy A7 2017 handset and apparently, there are new leaks concerning the official launch of the phone.
In a new leaked invite, it appears that Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is about to be launched in the coming days. Given the status of the information, very minor details can be retrieved from the same, but still, the images could do nothing much to hide the overall design language of the A7 2017. As usual, the phone will still keep the physical home button just below the display screen as well as a metallic body, but the upper bezel looks thicker than before. On the contrary, the device looks to have thinner side bezels with the volume rockers located on the left side while the power button featuring on the opposite side.
As per previous leaks, Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 will come with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution. Even though not specific, the GFXBench leak confirmed that the phone will ship with a 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at a speed of 1.8GHz, possibly an Exynos 7880. This will be paired with a RAM of 3GB and two storage options of 32GB and 64GB, both with support for microSD card storage. There is talk of a 16MP sensor on both the front and rear sides of the Galaxy A7 2017 while the battery unit will stop at 3600mAh, same as what you find on the Galaxy S7 Edge. Premium features such as fast charging, USB-C and fingerprint scanning technology are expected to be included on the phone.
