We have been aware that Samsung is working on launching the Galaxy A9 Pro on the international stage.

While this has been coming for quite some time, the day was still elusive to our prying eyes and ears. A few months ago, we received news that an unidentified smartphone model was being shipped to India for purposes of testing. While this happens a lot with devices shipping to the country for R&D purposes, this supposed Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro went further to make appearances at Wi-Fi and Bluetooth certification offices with respect to the United States. These moves have prompted mass rumors and speculations that the Galaxy A9 Pro will indeed receive an international variant to go with the version released to the Chinese market.

Well, this seems to have materialized as Samsung has unveiled a brand new Galaxy A9 Pro in Malaysia. Back in March, Samsung released a Galaxy A9 Pro in China. A phablet, the A9 Pro packs a massive screen size of 6 inches, but unlike the flagship line, it makes use of a Full HD resolution Super AMOLED screen with 1920 by 1080 pixels and 367ppi of pixel density.

Under the hood, the Galaxy A9 Pro comes with a mid-range Snapdragon 652 SoC that features eight cores that manage a maximum clock speed of 1.8GHz. This processor is paired with an Adreno 510 GPU and a RAM of 4GB. The phone also comes with a storage of 32GB, which can be expanded via a microSD card of up to 200GB.

As for the camera, the Galaxy A9 Pro packs a decent 16MP snapper on the rear with f/1.9 aperture, LED flash and OIS. The front part has an 8MP sensor with the same aperture, making it one of the best selfie cams you can get in the market right now. To keep the massive 6-inch display screen on, the A9 Pro has a huge 5000mAh battery capacity.

Apparently, this is the same spec sheet that the newly released Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro comes with. The phone can be bought from any Senheng store for a price of RM 1,999, which is equivalent to $495.
