The arrival of the 2016 version of Samsung Galaxy On7 has been a muchawaited device for mid-range smartphone buyers.
The phone has just been launched by Samsung in the Chinese markets with the specifications as revealed by most leaks. The phone has a 5.5-inch screen with full HD resolution, thus putting it in the league of many phablets. Unlike some of the high-end devices, though, the screen uses TFT display technology and is inferior than some of the IPS panels that have better viewing angles and contrast ratios.
However, the phone more than makes up for the lack of technology with the large display with more than sufficient resolution. A snapdragon 625 processor is at the heart of the device and this octa-core processor should be able to handle most specifications without any issues. A snapdragon 821 processor cannot be expected at the price range of around $240, which primarily makes the Samsung Galaxy On7 a value for money offering. A 13-megapixel rear camera could be one of the finest from Samsung in the Galaxy On series and it features assistance from the likes of LED flash and touch focus.
Even at this price point, it should be remembered that the Samsung Galaxy On7 acts as the superior device in the Galaxy On range of phones. Assisting the processor is a more than sufficient 3 GB of RAM, which again should make the phone extremely powerful even while running the latest versions of android. At this price range, it would be unfair to expect the Android Nougat given also these configurations. However, since the phone is reasonably powerful, it may not be surprising to see this new version of android make it to the phone before the end of its life-cycle.
The Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 may happen to be one of the thinnest phones in this category, as it is just 8 mm thick while weighing in at just 167 g. The phone may have an extremely large 5.5-inch screen, but the presence of 3300 mAh battery means that it should be able to carry on through the full day without much issues. One of the biggest advantages of the Samsung Galaxy On7 2016 may be the rear positioned fingerprint sensor. Available in pink, gold, and black, the phone is expected to be available in the United States markets in the next few months if Samsung do decide to launch this phone.
