Samsung Galaxy S7 Active owners on AT&T network will receive the December security patch update.
The network providers have started rolling out the PL1 update even though the patch was delayed by a week.
AT&T was supposed to have rolled this important update for all Galaxy S7 phones last week. The December updates are usually rolled out in the last two weeks of the month. However, they missed it probably due to technical and development difficulties. The build number for the latest Galaxy S7 Active update is G891AUCS2APL1. The total size of the file is 44.8 megabytes.
Many users are eager to experience Android 7.0 operating system on their respective devices. Google’s latest OS is available only on Pixel and Pixel XL phones out of the box. Samsung has been really slow in bringing it to their phones, even the flagship models. If you are expecting the new December security update to upgrade your operating system, you might be disappointed. The 44MB update is made to fix some flaws and bugs in the Android 6.0.1. Marshmallow update.
All top devices on other networks and unlocked phones have started receiving the January update. It is tad late but an essential update for Samsung Galaxy S7 Active devices. AT&T has confirmed that users have started receiving the update and it should be available on all models. However, if you haven’t received any notifications yet, you can manually download it.
