Sharing Voice Assistant with Google
The latest update regarding the upcoming flagship device of Samsung, the Galaxy S8, is that it will be the first device using Bluetooth 5.0. It will also come with a Y OCTA screen that features optical fingerprints recognition technology. The Galaxy S8 will come with a better voice assistant, the Viv or with the Google Assistant. This will be included with the patent sharing between Samsung and Google.
There has been a lot of speculation regarding the unique features of the upcoming flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S8. Samsung is known for introducing new technologies in its flagship phones, so fans are wait for the offerings from its new flagship device, the Galaxy S8. There are speculations regarding what the Galaxy S8 will offer that will be different from the Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 Edge variants.
According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be the first smartphone using the Bluetooth 5.0, which has been launched recently. The Bluetooth SIG states that the 5.0 version has a quadruple range with two times the speed and eight times the capacity for broadcasting messages, compared to the earlier Bluetooth 4.2.
Display, Processor Changes
There are rumors that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with a screen of 5.7 inches in Super AMOLED screen display with 4K resolution. The bigger variant is the Galaxy S8 Plus, which come with a bigger display of 6.1 inches and screen display from one edge to the other. The device will have the new Qualcomm, Snapdragon 835 chip in the US, and come with a RAM of 6 GB and an internal storage of 256 GB.
Optical Fingerprints Recognition
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 will also come with new technologies incorporated for fingerprints recognition. The fingerprints can be recognized using glass, so the physical home buttons can now be eliminated. The screen will be the Y OCTA one already seen in the infamous Galaxy Note 7. In this type of screen, the sensors have been embedded directly on to its display panel and not placed between the phone display and its protective cover.
All New Siri
The latest updates regarding the Samsung Galaxy S8 also reveal that the company is giving up on Viv, the Smart Assistant, and will be taking up Google Assistant in its place. This could be the result of the patent sharing between Samsung and Google in in the year 2014. Based on this patent sharing, Samsung is also able to receive the latest Android software update, the Nougat, according to information from BGR.
Release of Galaxy S8
The Galaxy S8 will probably be announced during the WMC to be held in February of 2017. The device is expected to be a waterproof one. Other rumors claim that it does not have the 3.5 mm, headphone jack. There may not even be a curved edge version, as the demand for the latter is quite low.
