Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, Tab A 2016 variants and Galaxy J7 are waiting in line to receive Android Oreo update.
Samsung’s Turkish site that keeps track of the Android update schedule for its smartphones and tablets has some updated information for the month of December 2018. New information reveals that the South Korean company will be releasing Android Oreo to various tablets by the end of this year.
Samsung is now working on making the Android Oreo update available to its multiple mid-range smartphones. The below shown screenshot shows that the Galaxy Tab Active 2, 10.1-inch Galaxy tab A 2016 with S Pen (LTE and Wi-Fi only variants), 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab A (LTE and Wi-Fi only variants) and Galaxy J7 2016 smartphone are all schedule to get Oreo update in December 2018.
Samsung has just rolled out the Oreo update to Galaxy J7 (2016) smartphone and in the recent past the Galaxy J5 (2017) users were also provided with the same update. In this month, the Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Core smartphones are scheduled to receive Android Oreo update. The Galaxy A8 2016, Galaxy J7 Pro, Galaxy J5 Pro and Galaxy J3 (SM-J330F) are expected to be treated with Oreo upgrade in October. In November, the Galaxy On7 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime are expected to get Android Oreo software update.
Samsung has been always slow at releasing Android software update for its mid-range smartphones. Hence, it appears that it will take couple of more months for all the eligible Samsung phones to receive the Android Oreo update.
