Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is yet to be unveiled, but it has been in the rumors for quite some time now. In fact, the tablet has actually missed a number of launch dates, with the first speculated to be somewhere in June or July.

When this date missed, the Galaxy Tab S3 saw an August 2 launch date speculated, but the only device that came out on this date was the Galaxy Note 7. Up to now, the device is still in the rumor mill, but it is yet to be launched or even receive an official launch date. Different experts are still adamant that the slate will see the light at some point this year, especially after it missed the much-anticipated date with the IFA 2016 event in Berlin.

It’s true that not so much is out with respect to the Galaxy Tab S3, but we have a shrewd overview of what you can expect when this tablet is out. For starters, Samsung will reportedly unveil the tablet in two variants of 8 inches and 9.7 inches, however, the pair will come with an AMOLED display panel that boasts a 4K resolution.

Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will come with an octa-core Exynos 8890 SoC, which is the same chipset that is found on international variants of the Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge as well as Galaxy Note 7. The RAM will also be big, standing at 4GB while there will reportedly be two storage options of 32GB and 64GB. Still, don’t be surprised if Samsung packs one variant of the Galaxy Tab S3 with a Snapdragon 820 SoC.

Despite the great specs sheet the tablet is expected to come with under the hood, there might be a slight disappointment when it comes to the camera. The front snapper will house a 2MP lens while the rear will come with an 8MP lens. In terms of battery capacity, the smaller 8-inch Tab S3 should come with a 4000mAh battery unit as compared to the 5870mAh that is rumored to come with the 9.7-inch model. Still, both units should come with support for the latest USB Type-C connectivity alongside Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, but the latter could change to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. As for the price, Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 could be priced from $420 for the base model, however, these details are not fully confirmed.

There is also word that Huawei is working on refreshing the Google Nexus 7 tablet – which should also come with an amazing set of specs. In fact, these two are expected to be bitter rivals in the industry since the Nexus 7 2016 tablet will also come with the likes of QHD resolution, Snapdragon 820 SoC, and 4GB RAM, among other flagship specs and features.

Both devices are expected to be unveiled before the end of this year, with Google reportedly set to take the driving seat by unveiling the 7-inch Nexus 7 2016 at an event early next month, alongside the Google Pixel and Pixel XL phones.
