About a week ago, the rumored Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 appeared on benchmarking website Geekbench with a few major details of the phone.
Apparently, the Geekbench listing confirmed that Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 will be powered by the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box. In addition to this, the listing also suggested that the Xcover 4 will ship with a quad-core Exynos 7570 processor clocked at a speed of 1.43GHz and paired with a RAM of 2GB.
While nothing else was revealed via this listing, fresh reports have just come in claiming that the new Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 will be available for purchase really soon. In fact, the tipster says that the phone will start shipping towards the end of March and it will be priced somewhere between €260 and €280. As you can see, these are European prices, but this doesn’t mean that the Xcover 4 will not be sold in other markets such as North America.
Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 will be available in a black color variant as opposed to last year’s gray. In fact, last year’s model was just a refurbished version of the model released in 2015, with the only difference between the two being the processor used as well as the software.

As we have seen above, the Galaxy Xcover 4 is expected to upgrade the processor from the Exynos 3475 used last year to the much better Exynos 7570. This processor upgrade should also be accompanied by a larger 2GB RAM alongside an expandable storage of possibly 16GB, twice its predecessor. As for the screen, the 4.5-inch size could be retained, but the dust and water resistance rating will definitely go up from IP67 to IP68 while at the same time keep the MIL-STD-810G certification for salt, rain, vibration, humidity and thermal shock resistance, among others.
We should know more details about this Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 very soon and once we do, we’ll let you know straight away. Stay tuned!
