For weeks, Samsung Galaxy J2 2018 has been appearing in leaks all over the internet and in fact, the Korean tech giant went ahead and listed the phone’s accessories on its official website.

Despite this bold move, the Samsung Galaxy J2 2018 has not been launched yet, instead, the company has quietly launched the Pro version of this phone dubbed Galaxy J2 Pro 2018. The phone has been spotted on Samsung’s official Vietnam website and with it comes all the details about the specs, features as well as pricing, but global availability remains unknown.

Being a budget phone, the Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 ships with a 5-inch Super AMOLED display screen with a resolution of 960 x 560 pixels. Under the hood, you get an unknown quad-core SoC clocked at 1.4GHz and mated with 1.5GB of RAM alongside 16GB of internal storage, which can also be expanded using a microSD card of up to 256GB.

For the optics, the Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 comes with an 8MP main shooter that boasts autofocus and LED flash while the front has a 5MP selfie shooter. Using the main camera, you can also record videos of up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. Keeping the phone alive is a decent 2600mAh battery unit, which, according to Samsung, can last an impressive 60 hours of audio playback.

Samsung also says that the Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 will include the Dual Messaging Accounts as well as the Private Folder features. Being 2018, the phone also comes with 4G LTE connectivity, dual-SIM, but unfortunately, you still get the aging microUSB port for charging and data transfer. The J2 Pro 2018 also sticks to the tried and trusted 3.5mm audio jack, measures just 8.4mm thick and weighs 153g.

The Galaxy J2 Pro 2018 will come in three color variants of Black, Gold and Green and for the price, Samsung wants 3,290,000 VND, which translates to under $150.
