The tablet is aimed at keeping up with the A phone series of Samsung and aims at the young and trendy crowd.

The South Korean mobile device giant had confirmed a few weeks earlier that the tab would be launched in Korea soon. The tab is expected to arrive in Korea later on in July and will cost around $310 for the Wi Fi variant.
Announcement for Europe
Earlier in May, the company had announced the family friendly device to European audiences. The device was targeted at users wanting a reasonably priced device with good performance. The Tab A10.1 was offered for sale in Europe from June at the cost of 289 Euros. This is only for the Wi Fi version, whereas the cost of the LTE and WiFi version is 349 Euros.
Samsung Does a Good Job
The company has done a great job, at least with respect to coverage of features. The device is focused on practicality, coming with a thickness of 8.2 mm and a weight of around 520 grams. As per the name, the screen is 10.1 inches and comes with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It is a touch screen and makes use of the PLS LCD technology. The dimensions of the tab are 254.2 x 155.3 x 8.2 mm. The LTE model alone has an optional single Nano SIM option.
It is powered by Samsung Exynos 7870, and has 8 CPU cores. This is combined with a RAM of 2 GB and an internal storage of 16 GB. However, there is a micro SD card for expanding the internal storage. The camera array is also pretty decent.
The rear camera has a resolution of 8 MP with f/1.9, aperture. As for the front, The A 10.1 (2016) comes with a 2 MP front camera for video calls and for selfies. The two cameras are capable of recording at 1080 pixels at the rate of 30 fps. The battery is powered at 7300 mAh. It will last for a sufficient time, as Android Marshmallow powers the phone.
Connectivity features include Wi Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, with dual band and WiFi Direct. It also offers Bluetooth and GPS offering support for USB OTG. The tab comes with a microUSB version 2.0.
The A 10.1 (2016) pushes several family features. For instance, it comes with a Kid Mode, 4.0, using which parents can set the usage time for their children. This will ensure that there is less strain to their children’s eyes.
