The Gionee A1 and A1 Plus are coming at the Mobile World Congress 2017 event that takes place starting Monday next week.
The two phones have featured in a number of recent leaks, but Gionee has yet to say a thing about their expected hardware specs and features. A few days ago, the Gionee A1 appeared on benchmarking platform Geekbench. From the listing, it seems the phone will ship with midrange specs on board, but the company will complement this with a powerful selfie camera, something that has brought huge success to the likes of Vivo and Oppo.
Apparently, the Gionee A1 will ship with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Under the hood, you will find an octa-core chipset from MediaTek – MM6755 or rather Helio P10 – but the details of the clock speed remain elusive. As for the RAM, the listing confirmed that the phone will ship with a huge 4GB package.
Now that Gionee has confirmed there is another A1 Plus model coming in, it remains to be seen what will be the differences between these two. Nonetheless, the incoming Gionee A1 and A1 Plus will come with an excellent battery life thanks to a rumored 4000mAh unit. You don’t have to worry about the anything when it comes to charging your phone as the company promises to ship the duo with ultra-fast charging technology through dual charging chips as well as include an excellent power-saving system.
Furthermore, buyers of this phone can expect “a sensational” selfie camera as well as a dual-lens setup on the back. But what really makes the Gionee A1 and A1 Plus’ selfie camera, well, sensational? According to the Chinese OEM, the phones will not only come with powerful sensors but also a bunch of nice selfie features such as the ability to play around with the lighting effects, among others. Since the rear will also be shipping with a dual-camera setup, there’s no doubt that Gionee is out to capture the photogenic consumers who are not into high-end devices that cost a fortune to some!
With just a few days before the MWC, we should be able to know clear details about these cameras, specs, features, prices as well as the availability of Gionee A1 and A1 Plus.
