Sony announced a new line of smartphones at this year’s MWC event in Barcelona, coming in with Xperia X, Xperia XA, and Xperia X Performance.
At the time of this writing, none of these three phones has been availed to the market, despite the fact that it is now more than two months since the phones were announced. Nevertheless, this long wait is set to go on for quite some time as the company is not yet ready to bring these devices to the market. There is, however, some good news to smile about, especially for those of our readers living in Europe.
Since the announcing of the Xperia X Performance, Xperia X, and Xperia XA smartphones, only the last two have been availed for preorders in Europe. It has happened in the UK and a bunch of other countries across the continent, however, nothing had been detailed before regarding the flagship Xperia X Performance. Sometimes back, GSM Arena revealed that the flagship X Performance will not be sold in both the UK and Germany, but this doesn’t mean the phone won’t be up for grabs in other parts of Europe including France, the Netherlands, Spain and many others.
Many have been waiting for the details about the Xperia X Performance. Well, they are here and according to Sony, the SIM-free version of the flagship will be available for about €699 in the Netherlands and France while those in Spain and Italy will have to shell out an extra €30 to lay their hands on this phone.
Sony Xperia X Performance release date
Pre-orders are underway via the company’s online stores in Europe, but the Xperia X Performance can only be bought in the said countries, in addition to Sweden. Despite the availability of the pricing details, the X Performance will only start shipping as from early July, to be more specific, during the week of July 4. If this materializes, it will have taken Sony more than four months to finally release the Xperia X Performance to the world following its official announcement in February.
As for the pricing and availability details of the mid-rangers Xperia X and Xperia XA, the former is available starting from €599 to €629 while the latter ranges between €299 and €329, depending on the region being sold. While the Xperia X will start shipping as from the week of May 23, the Xperia XA will do so as from the week of June 20.
Their service is horrible ! My xperia z3c stopped connecting vie wifi bluetooth all of a sudden after just 14 months and they refused to take it in for service because it was not under warranty and they did not have the staff to fix it! Even when i was ready to pay for the repairs on some hardware fault that is pretty well know this device has. Please do not buy any of their devices. Their service in the US is very very pathetic.
