The Sony Xperia XZ2 and the XZ2 Compact became instant hits ever since they were officially announced at the Mobile World Congress 2018.
The flagship models of Sony will bring many interesting improvements such as 18:9 resolution with the bezel-less display, powerful Qualcomm processor and may also have an XZ2 Pro edition which will sport a 4K display.

For demanding customers, Sony has decided to offer as much RAM as possible to keep the phone responsive all-day long. While the Xperia XZ2 and the XZ2 Compact will launch with 4GB of RAM globally, the phone will have 6GB of RAM in select regions. The information was confirmed within a couple of hours since the announcement was made at MWC 2018.

From this listing, it is clear that Sony Xperia XZ2 with 6GB of RAM will soon be available for sale in China and Taiwan.
Another source claims the 6GB RAM variant may also launch in US, UK, and Canada but it’s not confirmed yet. The models were spotted multiple times on GeekBench results and recently in the certification agency in China. The TENNA listing confirmed that it’s close to getting launched. The phone will first be launched in the Asian continent soon and then will make its way to the US, UK markets in the same month.

With the launch day closeby, a GeekBench report has emerged online that confirmed that the new flagship models will indeed have increased RAM in select regions.

The Sony Xperia XZ2 and the XZ2 Compact will be equipped to the brim with the best possible hardware specs. The phones are powered by the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of RAM in the global variant and will have a display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The FHD+ resolution should be a great choice for media lovers.
The XZ2 holds IP68 water and dust resistance certification. It will be shrouded in a robust dual glass chassis to support wireless charging yet be durable at the time. The model will have a 19-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording and 1080p Slow-Mo video recording capabilities. The front has a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The XZ2 being the better flagship of the two has a 3,180 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
