In the previous week, T-Mobile had released a 90 MB update (A6013_34_181228) that enabled support for additional domestic roaming partner for improved roaming experience. Users who have met with the issue have created a dedicated thread on Reddit with a screenshot which shows “Device is not certified” for Play Protect certification. The above screen can be accessed on T-Mobile OnePlus 6T phone by navigating to Play Store > Settings.

One of the thread users has claimed he tired Google Pay and found it to be broken after installing the aforementioned software update. Another user has claimed all services including Google Play that relies on SafetyNet won’t work after the update. Simple troubleshooting attempts like clearing Play Store data and rebooting does not fix the issue.

Another user has stated he is able to install new apps but is unable to update already installed apps. Some users have claimed that the company is ready to provide a new replacement or warranty exchange for people who are facing the issue.
