Bethesda made a formal announcement about The Elder Scrolls VI way back in 2018. The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2018 conference by Bethesda seemed to be just the right platform for an announcement of this nature. Given the scale of the game, one knew it would take a while for the game to be fully developed. However, we are in 2024 and The Elder Scrolls VI is nowhere in sight.

Bethesda has not shared any update about the release date of The Elder Scrolls VI as yet. However, experts have shared their predictions about the same. The recent predictions, in fact, have taken the fan by complete surprise.
When a Redditor, who identifies themselves as Majestic_Banana789, asked whether one would need to invest in a new-age console to play The Elder Scrolls 6, another Redditor pointed out as to how the gaming community is about to go through two complete generations without getting a “mainline Scrolls game”.
A few other Redditors jumped into this discussion. A 29-year-old Redditor stated that they hope they live long enough to see the game releasing and get the opportunity to play it.

Given the fact that the game was announced way back in 2018, a large section of the gaming community is feeling restless about not getting any updates about the game. Since Bethesda itself made an announcement about the game, fans are quite upset about the gaming company keeping them in the dark.
