Twitter and Facebook CEOs Threatened by ISIS Terrorist Group

Twitter boss Jack Dorsey and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg have been threatened by the world-known terrorist group ISIS for not supporting terror activities on their respective social media platforms.

The threats were made via a video courtesy of the supporters of the Islamic State and released by a group known as “the sons of Caliphate army.” In the released video, the photos of both Dorsey and Zuckerberg were marked with bullets.

The extremist group blames the two tech gurus for making their efforts to spread the word of violence and terrorism quite hard via the social media platforms. The accounts associated with this group have been suspended and the posts promoting these activities removed; something the ISIS supporters are obviously unhappy with.

In the video, the ISIS hackers show how they hack into Twitter and Facebook accounts to post propaganda about the Islamic State and their terror activities. According to the group, they have hacked more than 10,000 individual accounts and 150 groups on Facebook, with many of them being given to supporters and sympathizers of the ISIS group. No comment has so far come from either company regarding this sickening revelation.

During the recently-concluded MWC event in Barcelona, the Zuck was very categorical that there is no place for such activities (terrorism) on Facebook. He also added that if presented with the opportunity to work with the law enforcers to root out these attacks and the ones behind them, he will be glad to grab it with both arms.

“If we have any opportunity to work with the governments to make sure there are no terrorist attacks,” he said. “We are going to take them and [in fact], we feel a pretty strong responsibility to help in making the society safe.”

According to Fast Company, this is the first time Mark Zuckerberg has been threatened by the ISIS, but it has been going on for quite some time as far as Twitter is concerned. Since June last year, Twitter has closed up to 125,000 accounts linked to the terrorist group and as a result, the company has been receiving threats.

The Telegram-sourced video, which carries slides of information, had a message dedicated for the two leading social media company’s bosses. According to the group, the fact that Twitter and Facebook have been suspending accounts hasn’t in no way stopped them from doing what they do. In fact, the slide claims that for one account the companies suspend, the group takes over 10 other accounts. The group even further threatens that it will delete the two sites – Twitter and Facebook – alongside the names of the two – Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg.
