There have been reports in the past that have suggested Xiaomi is working on a new Redmi Note 4X to succeed the original Redmi Note 4.
While there is still no confirmation from Xiaomi regarding this rumor, a new leak has recently surfaced showing off an unknown phone that is thought to be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. Not so long ago, this alleged phone made an appearance on China’s TENAA, meaning that the release date is not so far away. Now that we possibly have an exclusive image of what this handset will actually look like, there is some truth now appearing in the previous rumors about a Redmi Note 4 successor.
The image comes from a popular Chinese leakster that has recently been coming in with some really interesting leaks about upcoming phones. The design is slightly different from what has been doing rounds, with the fingerprint scanner now set to appear on the front-facing home button as opposed to appearing on the back. Like many other Xiaomi phones, the leaked Redmi Note 4X has a unibody design with a silver finish.

There is little that this leak gives out with respect to the specs and features of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. However, past reports have indicated that the phone will ship with a Snapdragon 653 octa-core processor or a MediaTek Helio X10 SoC that is paired with a decent RAM of 4GB. In terms of storage, the rumored Redmi Note 4X will ship with two options of 32GB and 64GB, but of course, you can expect a microSD card slot to be on board.
To keep the lights on, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X will supposedly come with a huge 4100mAh battery unit that should also support fast battery charging technology. There is still no word on the official launch date of this phone, but now that we have images of the same, it appears that the date is not very far away.
