The new software update from Verizon brings May 2021 security patch to Galaxy A51 5G, while all other devices are getting the August 2021 security patch.
Verizon has rolled out a new software update to Galaxy A51, A51 5G, A71 5G, Galaxy Tab S6, LG V60 ThinQ 5G, and LG Q70. It mainly brings a new security patch and some of these are also getting performance improvements. Read more about the new changes in their respective section.
Samsung Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A51 5G
Verizon-bouned Galaxy A51 and Galaxy A51 5G are receiving system update 7 and system update 5 respectively. It mainly brings the August 2021 security patch to Galaxy A51, while Galaxy A51 5G gets the May 2021 security patch. The new OTA build for Galaxy A51 5G also brings Quick Share enhancements and several performance improvements.
Samsung Galaxy A71 5G
Galaxy A71 5G is receiving a new software from Verizon that bumps Android security patch level to August 2021. The newest security patch fixes 40 security and privacy-related vulnerabilities. The new software update also brings performance improvements. It is rolling out as the 7th system update for Galaxy A71 5G.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is receiving system update 13 from Verizon that brings August 2021 security patch. Samsung was the first to release the newest security patch which debuted on Galaxy A52. Now, it has reached dozens of Galaxy devices and the company continues to add more devices to the list.
LG V60 ThinQ 5G and LG Q70
Verizon has released a new software update for LG V60 ThinQ 5G and LG Q70. It brings the latest security patch released in August 2021. According to the changelog, the new software update does not bring anything more than just a new security patch. It comes as system update number 10 for V60 ThinQ 5G and system update 8 for the LG Q70.
