Verizon is now rolling out the September 2021 security update to all the Samsung and Motorola devices mentioned here in this post.
The new software for Verizon-bound Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, Note 20 5G, Note 20 Ultra 5G, Galaxy Z Fold2 5G, Galaxy Tab S7 5G, Tab S7+ 5G, Tab S7 FE 5G brings the newest security patch. Motorola Razr and Motorola One 5G are also receiving the September 2021 security update from Verizon.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10, Note 10+, Note 20 5G, and Note 20 Ultra 5G
Verizon has released a new software update for Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, Galaxy Note 20 5G, and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G which improves device security and privacy by installing the September 2021 security patch. The changelog has no mention of any other changes, apart from just a new security patch. The update is rolling out as the system update number 25 for the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+, while Galaxy Note 20 5G and Note 20 Ultra 5G are getting their 15th system update.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G is now receiving system update number 12 from Verizon. It brings the September 2021 security patch. According to Samsung, the newest security patch fixes over 50 vulnerabilities related to system security and privacy. You should receive a notification when the update hits your phone. To manually update the phone, navigate Settings >> Software updates and tap on the Download and install button.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 5G, Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G, and Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G
September 2021 security update is now rolling out to Galaxy Tab S7 5G, Tab S7+ 5G, and Tab S7 FE 5G on Verizon’s network. It is a minor security patch update. So, don’t expect any new features, performance improvements, or UI changes. It is rolling as the 7th software update for Galaxy Tab S7 5G and Tab S7+ 5G, while Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G is receiving it as the first software update.
Motorola Razr and Motorola One 5G
System update number 8 and 12 is rolling out to Motorola Razr and Motorola One 5G, respectively. Like all the Samsung phones above, these two Motorola phones also receive the September 2021 security patch update.
