Moto Z Play Droid has now received June security patch update along with several bug fixes and device improvements.
This update is based on Android Oreo and comes with a software version ODN27.76-12-30-2.
The users can now enjoy all the productivity features of Android Oreo including PiP feature, Autofill framework, Smart text selection and Adaptive icons. The device performance updates include smooth running of apps, enhanced Bluetooth audio, better batter saving feature and stability improvements.
Apart from all these, the phone also gets a bunch of notification, calling features, security, usability and accessibility updates which are the standout features of Android Oreo.
Verizon’s Moto Z Play Droid skipped the security updates in March and May this year and it last received security patch update for the month of April and for February before that.

Since this is an OTA update, it may take a few days or weeks before the users can see the download notification appear in their devices.
While several devices have now started getting July security patches at this point in time, it’s still good to see Moto Z Play Droid get June security patch update because it’s a pretty old device and it was released almost two years ago in September 2016.
