Confirmed Moto Z3 Play (XT-1929) Specs Reveal 4GB RAM, 6.1-Inch Display and Snapdragon 636 Processor

The yet to be announced Motorola Moto Z3 Play has caused a bit of a buzz in the last couple of days especially following the leaked images which showed off what to expect on the device in terms of the design.

Now the device has received it’s certification in the US and the FCC listing reveals key details about the upcoming device which comes with model number XT-1929.

As we have already seen from the case renders, Z3 Play has a dual camera setup on the back panel with the LED flash light located just below the dual sensors.

On the lower end of the back panel, the Moto Z3 Play, which will come as a successor to the Z2 Play released last year, packs bold speaker grilles which hints at premium audio quality. However, fresh information regarding the device has surfaced online.

Display Size and Dimensions

The Moto Z3 Play which recently passed the FCC certification was listed with the model number XT1929 and revealed to be coming into the market measuring 156.23 x 76.7 mm in size and packing a 6.1-inch display.

Processor

The Moto Z3 Play will be powered by a Qualcomm manufactured chipset under the hood as its pretty clear that the device will come into the market running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor (SDM636).

Variants and Memory Configuration

The Z3 Play will come in different variants (Single/Dual SIM) and memory configurations based on the locations. They will either have a combination of 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM or 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM.

Additionally, different variants will be coming with different SIM support as the XT1929-1 and XT1929-4 will be packing single SIM support under the hood, the XT1929-5 with support for dual SIM function while the XT1929-6 and XT1929-8 variants will come with support for both single and dual SIM functionality. Z3 Play supports Bluetooth v5.0 and NFC.

Camera & Battery

On the camera front, the Motorola Z3 Play is expected to roll out packing a dual 12MP + 8MP sensor on the back panel with a 5MP sensor located on the front panel for the selfie. It’s expected to have either 3000 mAh battery or slightly higher as the Z2 Play came with 3000 mAh.

Pricing

Pricing information regarding the device is yet unavailable but speculations hold that the device may be priced around $450-$500.
