The Vivo S12 series will be a successor to the S10 series. It will compete with Oppo Reno7.
Vivo is reportedly gearing up to launch a new S-series, and it’s not the Vivo S11. According to recent reports, the Chinese smartphone brand is making a jump to Vivo S12 by skipping the S11 series. There’s no such confirmation from the brand itself, but that’s what the rumor mill suggests. Now, the first set of details and launch timeline of the Vivo S12 have been revealed by a Chinese tipster, Arsenal.

The Vivo S12 series will launch in China next month, as per the tipster claim. The company is likely to unveil two devices – Vivo S12 and S12 Pro. The standard S12 is tipped to feature a Samsung AMOLED display. It is said to have a metal frame and the back appearance could be a flatter one.
The Pro model could be equipped with a BOE flexible curved display. The phone is said to feature 3D curved glass back cover and a round middle frame. According to the tipster, Vivo S12 Pro will be the main focus for the company. The phone will be available in three colors on its first sale, while the standard S12 will be offered in only one color on its first sale.
Vivo has not yet divulged any details about the S12 series, but we are likely to hear an official announcement very soon, probably by the end of this month. The upcoming S12 series is said to compete with the yet-to-be-released Oppo Reno7.

The Reno7 will mainly be a camera-centric phone, which will reportedly feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor. The camera island is said to include an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide lens and a 2MP B&W portrait lens. The Reno7 may pack Dimensity 920 SoC, 90Hz AMOLED display, and a 4,500 mAh battery with 65W fast charging.
