Vivo is a Chinese phone maker, who has recently launched the X7 and the X7 Plus, both released in China, at a price of around CNY 2498.
The X7 and the X7 Plus look very similar to each other, as they both come in a metal build. They are both available in Gold color as well as Rose Gold color. However, there are some small differences with respect to the features and specifications. Here is a comparison.
Comparing the Display and the Processor
Both the devices ship with Snapdragon, 652 processor combined with Adreno, 510 graphics card. However, the X7 Plus has a larger screen display of 5.7 inches FHD, with a pixel density of 424. In contrast, the Vivo X7 has a smaller screen display of 5.2 inches coming to a pixel density of 386 ppi. Both the phones use the Super AMOLED technology for their display, so the two phones offer excellent colors and brightness.
The two devices offer fingerprint support and come with a RAM of 4 GB. The internal storage of both the phones is 64 GB and this can be expanded to a maximum of 256 GB.
The X7 series from Vivo has enhanced primary and front cameras. The two camera sensors are integrated and this is one of the major attractions of the devices. The X7 comes with a primary camera of 13 MP with f/2.2 aperture, sporting LED flash. The X7 Plus comes with a better resolution of 16rMP for the main sensor, having an aperture of f/2.0.
As for the front camera, both the X7 and the X7 Plus have a 16 MP selfie camera, sporting f/2.0 aperture and offering LED flash feature. The aperture level in the X7 Plus is low, though it has a sensor with a high capacity.
The X7 comes with a lower power of 3000 mAh, whereas the X7 Plus has a high powered battery of 4000 mAh. However, the fast charging feature is present in both these devices, so this offers an added bonus to the smartphone features.
The X7 and the X7 Plus both run on the same version of Android 5.1, Lollipop. This is rather surprising, as other smartphones in the competition are already equipped with the Marshmallow operating system version. The two devices are flagship phones and come with their own Funtouch operating system 2.5.1.
Price and Availability
The Vivo X7 can be obtained in China from July 7th at a price of CNY 2498, whereas there is no official news regarding the availability or the price of the X7 Plus.
Wait and Watch
When comparing these two devices from Vivo, it can be safely concluded that the X7 Plus is surely the better device of the two. It is worth waiting for the release of the Plus version, as it offers a bigger display and a better rear camera. The battery capacity is also better and the pixel density of the Plus is more than that of the X7. This makes it easier while reading content on the screen, as there is no strain to the eye.
