Vivo Y55s with V2164A model number has launched silently in China.
The handset was recently spotted at TENAA certification and China Telecom’s product library. The Y55s is yet another affordably priced 5G smartphone from the brand.
Vivo Y55s (V2164A) Specifications
The Vivo Y55s has a dewdrop notch screen that measures 6.58 inches. It is an LCD panel that supports a 1080 x 2408 pixels Full HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The Y55s is Vivo’s first smartphone ever to house a 6,000mAh battery. The huge battery can be pumped using an 18W fast charger.
The Vivo Y55s is powered by theMediaTek Dimensity 700 and 8GB LPDDR4x RAM. The device has 128GB UFS 2.1 storage. The Android 11 and OriginOS 1.0 come preinstalled on the smartphone. The Chinese company is offering 4GB extended RAM on the Y55s.
The Y55s has an 8MP camera with an f/1.8 aperture for video calls and selfies. The camera unit available on the backside of the phone has a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
Vivo Y55s Pricing
The Vivo Y55s comes in a single version that offers 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is priced at 1,699 CNY ($267) and comes in Ceramic Black, Mirror Lake Blue, and Sakura Pink Meteor. The first sale date of the Y55s for China is yet to be confirmed.
In related news, Vivo has a couple of other Y-series phones in the works for the Chinese market. The Vivo V2140A and V2140A have recently appeared at TENAA with full specifications. Rumors have it that these phones will be launching as Vivo Y10 and Vivo Y32. The Vivo Y33s 5G is another Y-lineup waiting in the pipeline to go official. So far, it has only appeared at the 3C certification site.
