WhatsApp, the popular instant messaging app, had snagged a new recent update on its Beta channel of the Windows 10 Mobile and for the Windows Phone platforms, which bumped the app to the latest updated version 2.16.322.
The latest update for WhatsApp Beta does not come with any new features and there is no change log. However, there are a few conspicuous changes in the User Interface (UI). There have been a couple of improvements made to the existing performance issues and a few bugs have also been fixed with this updated release. The new UI changes that have been pushed by the team to the Windows Phone app have been listed here forth.
Updated the Icon to Send Media
The latest update for WhatsApp beta version 2.16.322 for Windows Phone has revised the icon which allows users to forward their media to Status.
Number of Recent Updates in Status
The recent update of WhatsApp beta app for Windows Phone version 2.16.322 has also added the ability for the user to see the number of recent updates that are there in a status.
Privacy Options
With the latest update of WhatsApp beta app version 2.16.322 for the Windows Phone, there will now be options in regard to the privacy of the Status. The UI of contacts selector has also changed which will now have options for selecting the contacts with whom the status should be shared.
According to a report by windows latest, the tick mark that appears when the user shares or forwards anything to multiple contacts has been improved by giving it a new look.
Updated Status icon
WhatsApp beta version 2.16.322 for the Windows Phone has been updated with a new refreshed Status icon, which when tapped allows the user to add a new status.
Shortcut to Gallery
The latest update in WhatsApp beta app version 2.16.322 for the Windows Phone has now added a new shortcut to the Gallery. So now, when the Camera is opened, the users can just click on the shortcut icon from the view, which will directly lead them to the Gallery.
According to @WABetaInfo, the feature is still disabled and the users will have to wait until WhatsApp enables it in the beta channel for all the registered users.
