For a while now, WhatsApp Business has been available on the beta channel and today, the app has received a new update that brings along a bunch of new features and stability improvements.
For the uninitiated, WhatsApp Business is not available in all countries across the globe, rather, it’s still limited to select markets. If you are among the few lucky ones, you should be already using v0.0.79 of the app and with it comes three major features.
The first and perhaps the most interesting of all is the ability to recall sent messages from recipients’ phones. This is a feature that some users of the standard version of WhatsApp haven’t received because it just exited the beta channel a few days ago, but those in the beta channel for WhatsApp Business can already enjoy it.
The new WhatsApp Business beta also brings support for quick replies. It’s now possible to set welcome messages as well as shortcuts for quick replies. This feature allows Businesses to create messages that will automatically be sent to customers when they contact the former for the first time using WhatsApp. As for the quick replies, Businesses will be able to create keyboard shortcuts for messages they send to customers frequently.
To send the said message, which should be pre-set via WhatsApp Business Settings, you need to type “/” without the quotes and then select the message you want to send.
