The upcoming Chinese smartphone X7 and the X7L from Vivo have finally received certification from the telecommunication authorities of China, the TENAA.
The latter is the regulatory agency of China, similar to the FCC that is seen in the United States.
Unveiling on 30th of June
There are two such devices that have received the clearance, the X7 and the X7L. No images are available in case of both these devices, which seem rather odd, but the listings offer an idea of the key specifications of the devices. The X7 and the X7L( which is Plus version) are set to be unveiled on the 30th of this month.
Design, Dimension andDisplay
There are several color options, such as gold and rose gold, in addition to plain gold and pink gold. The dimensions of the phone are 147.3 x 71.85 x 7.24 mm and it has a weight of 151 grams. The phone comes with a full HD screen display of 5.2 inches and this is offered at a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is also reported that the Vivo X7 and the X7L will come with the AMOLED display technology.
Users who love the punch and the deep blacks of this type of screen will be more than happy with the screen. There is also a fingerprint sensor feature found within the home button, coming with the Android, 5.1 version.
X7 – Specs and Dimensions
An SK652 octa core processor clocking at 1.8 GHz will power the X7. This is combined with a RAM of 4 GB. The internal memory on the device is 64 GB. It is quite common to see most mid range smartphones nowadays offering a RAM of 4 GB, but the internal memory of 64 GB is surely a plus point. However, the microSD card for expanding storage has been removed, so users cannot expand the memory later on. As for the graphics card, there is an Adreno 510.
For Shutterbugs
As for the camera, the device has a 13 MP camera on the rear and a 16 MP one at the front. This clearly shows that the company has given more importance to the selfie camera and for those who are interested in making video calls.
Software
The phone comes loaded with the Android software, Lollipop 5.1, out of the box. It is quite disappointing to note that the X7 ships with the Android Lollipop version, which is an outdated one. It would have been nice to see the phone coming with the latest Marshmallow version of Android. The hardware package is quite impressive and the offer would have been irresistible combined with the latest OS. It would have been reasonable to see the Lollipop version on a budget device, but the X7 and the X7 L are surely note in that category. A battery running at 2930 mAh powers it.
Available Soon
Both the X7 and the X7L will be officially announced in a few days time, on 30th of June. The superior sibling, the X7L, is more or less the same as the X7. However, the display is bigger at 5.7 inches, though the resolution is the same.
