The Major Nelson blog has confirmed the Xbox Live Games with Gold for May 2017 which includes two different games for the Xbox One console and there are two others for Xbox 360 console.
While players can enjoy both titles if they own the consoles, others who only have the newest Xbox One console can enjoy old games if they are supported by the backward compatibility program. Not all games are supported but the list is growing every day and a lot of Xbox 360 titles are being tweaked so that they seamlessly runs on the latest hardware specifications.
Gamers who have subscribed to Xbox Live Gold which is a mandatory service to enjoy online gaming, there are two notable titles. They are not AAA games but are definitely worth your time especially when you team up with a group of friends. The first one is Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams Director’s Cut which is priced at $14.99. The game will be completely free to download and keep throughout the month of May.
Lara Croft Temple of Osiris is the next in the lot and it’s one of the best co-op games you can enjoy on your Xbox One console. There are hardly any titles that offer brilliant four player co-op as this one does and the story being set in the Lara Croft universe makes it all the more fun. You can choose to play as Lara or any of the other three characters, each with their own unique weapons and powers. The game is priced at $19.99 and will be free to download from May16th all the way until June 5th. Players have a full month to download and own it.
For Xbox 360 gamers, you get Star Wars The Force Unleashed II which costs $19.99 and will be free to download between May 1st and 15th. The next half of the month will make the LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga free to download. The game usually costs $19.99 but will be free for Xbox Live Gold Members making it a subscription you should have if you want to grab hold of all these free games on two different consoles.
Every month the developers continue to surprise with some amazing titles and announcements that discount the best games on Xbox One, Xbox 360 consoles. Microsoft is also gearing up to launch the Xbox Scorpio console and when they do so, they might slowly discontinue support for the Xbox 360 that has been around for a very long time now.
