Xiaomi Mi 6 is rumored to be set for a launch as soon as tomorrow. However, there’s still no official communication from the Chinese OEM regarding the same matter.
The Mi 6 recently appeared on benchmarking website GFXBench and back then, it gave out a significant amount of hardware and software specs that we can expect when the phone goes live. Even though the listing did not reveal that this was indeed the Xiaomi Mi 6, the specs on the table left nothing to the imagination.
Dubbed Xiaomi Sagit, the phone had a 5.1-inch display screen with a Full HD resolution, which is something typical with Xiaomi Mi series. Under the hood, it was confirmed that the phone will come in with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC that has a maximum processing speed of 2.4GHz. This chipset is then expected to be paired with a RAM of 4GB or 6GB as well as two storage options of either 64GB or 128GB.
The GFXBench listing also revealed that the alleged Xiaomi Mi 6 will come in with a 12MP camera on the back and an 8MP shooter for selfies. In terms of the OS, the Mi 6 will reportedly debut with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
Now, to add more weight on these specs, the latest listing on AnTuTu reveals the same Xiaomi Sagit with just about the same specs. Although there are no details of the screen size, AnTuTu confirms that indeed the Xiaomi Mi 6 will have a Full HD resolution. The same Nougat version and processor have also been confirmed and so are the cameras, RAM as well as storage. However, this latest listing only highlights the base model of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
Since this is not an official communication from Xiaomi, be sure to take it with a grain of salt. But as noted, it’s possible that the Xiaomi Mi 6 could be unveiled tomorrow. We’ll be here to update you on any new developments. Stay tuned!
