Team Win has officially released the TWRP updates for two Xiaomi smartphones, the Mi 8 and the Mi Mix 2S.
The phones on the Team Win site carry their codenames as mentioned above, Dipper and Polaris respectively. Owners of these two devices desirous of downloading and installing the update can do so after making sure they are aware of how to go about handling the download as well as the risks associated with it if it is not done properly. TWRP updates allow you the freedom to custom install ROM and add software on your device without affecting the basic functions of the smartphone. But as Team Win sites says in the very beginning of every update, there are risks involved in terms of damages to the mobile phones.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 sports some decent specs and comes with a 6.21 inch display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, too was released around the same period (May 2018) and though the display size is slightly lower at 5.99 inches, the CPU is the same Snapdragon 845 SoC.
