Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro moniker was first spotted in June when it was certified by Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) along with other devices.

The same moniker along with model number M1807E8A has been also spotted at Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) in Singapore.

The M1807E8A model number model had appeared on TENAA in July. TENAA listing suggests that it is nothing but the Mi 8 Explorer Edition that is heading to Singapore as Mi 8 Pro.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition is only available for buying in China. It is yet to be made outside of the home country. However, it seems that Singapore could be one of the markets that will be receiving. The M1807E8A handset measures 154.6 x 74.8 x 7.6mm and it weigh 177 grams. It is equipped with a 6.21-inch OLED screen and it is packed with a 3,000mAh battery.

The Snapdragon 845 chipset is present under the hood of the device. It is assisted by 8 GB of RAM. The native storage of the device is 128 GB. It does not feature a microSD card slot. It is equipped with some advanced features such as in-display fingerprint scanner and 3D facial recognition. For photography, it features dual 12-megaixel rear snappers and 20-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Mi 8 Explorer Edition was introduced in China as a limited edition, but its recent approval by IMDA and EEC suggests that it could be heading to Singapore and Europe. Newer reports arriving in the coming weeks can confirm whether the smartphone will be really launching in these markets.
