Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha: Are You Ready for the First Ever 100 MP Camera Phone?

A new teaser on Weibo has confirmed that the upcoming smartphone from Xiaomi, Mi MIX Alpha, will feature a 100-megapixel camera.

A lot of speculations are still going on about the features of this phone. The company has launched a teaser which has confirmed the camera specification. Until now, 64-megapixels has been the highest camera sensor specifications used. Redmi Note 8 makes use of a 64-megapixel camera sensor. The 100-megapixel sensor will mark a new landmark feature for smartphones. No other phone supports or uses such a massive and powerful lens.

The phone is expected to be equipped with a Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX camera sensor. This sensor can help take very high-resolution photos. These photos will have a great resolution and will be very clear even after zooming in multiple times. The sensor has a special technology which will help in getting sharper and clearer images by increasing the light sensitivity and color fidelity.

A series of photos were also revealed which are supposed to have been taken using the upcoming MI MIX Alpha phone. The photos show one single image zoomed different times. All the images retain a clear and sharp image. Xiaomi claims that this will be the distinguishing feature of their new smartphone. The image has a very high resolution of 12032 x 9024 pixels. This has resulted in the huge file size of 40 MB. With this resolution, the company claims that one can easily zoom the image 8 times without disrupting its quality and sharpness.

Xiaomi is all set to launch its new products tomorrow, on September 24th. The launch event will see the unveiling of various products like MI MIX Alpha, MI TV Pro 8K and MI 9 Pro 5G. The phone is expected to have a 2k display along with a screen of size 6.39-inch. A teaser released by the company has revealed that the smartphone will have a curved display. This new model is expected to focus on a lot of design aspects as well. The curved display will hide the bezels on the screen. It is expected that the screen will have a Super AMOLED panel and a screen to body ratio of 100%.

The MI MIX Alpha is expected to have a RAM capacity of 12 GB along with a built-in memory of 128 GB. Android 10 along with MIUI 11 might be used to power the phone’s operating system.
