The Redmi 3S was announced on 3rd August along with the Redmi Pro and andMi Notebook Air.
After these announcements, there are also leaks of two new phones from the company. The Redmi 4 and the Mi Edge are the proposed new smartphones from Xiaomi. Xiaomi Today also announces that there will be a curved display seen in theMi Note 2.
Some images of these two new smartphones have been leaked. One of the images comes from Playfuldroid, which brings in five new images of the Redmi 4. The images show the phone with metal body, having a round design, which is comparable to the Redmi series that is currently present in the market. The back shows a fingerprint reader along with a capacitive buttons for navigation present in the front of the device. There is also a glass screen of 2.5D in the front of the phone.
Second Device – Mi Edge
The second device appears to be a premium one. There are rumors that the second image is also a Mi branded smartphone. It also comes with a special feature. The leaked image shows that it has dual curved edges in the display. The display is almost the same as the one on the S7 from Samsung Galaxy. This could mean that the company will use an OLED display that is flexible, so that it adjusts with the phone’s form. The name of this device is rumored as the Mi Edge, and this seems in keeping with the curved edge of the image. The image clearly shows the Mi logo in the upper left most corner, so it has to be a flagship phone. Historically, the Chinese manufacturer is seen placing such a mark only for the higher end devices.
The smartphone series from XiaomiRedmi is an attractive lineup in the Android smartphone segment. The Redmi series is a combination of great performance with good design, making it a tempting offer for users. The Redmi series, including the Redmi 2, the Redmi 3 and all the other variants of these smartphones along with Redmi Note series, have been setting up good sales, so Xiaomi is all set to keep the ball rolling.
It is rumored that the Redmi 4 is a successor in this line powered by the Helio X20 and will be released later this year. There have been plenty of rumors regarding the smartphone, but this is the first time images have been leaked online. The curved display is a highlighting feature of the phone and it appears to extend from one edge to the other on the display. This is only an optical trick combined with the 2.5 D finish, but it offers a refined and polished look to the device.
Expected Specs and Rumors
The Redmi 4 will come with the Helio X20 chip, as mentioned. It should also haveRAM of 2 GB combined with an internal memory of 32 GB. However, it is unfortunate that the new Redmi 4 will not have the dual camera set up, as seen in the Redmi Pro, according to sources in the industry.
