ZTE Axon 7 – Premium Phone on a Budget Being Shipped in Canada Shortly – Gunning for the OP3

The ZTE Axon 7 is now offered for pre ordering through Newegg Canada, an online retailer.

It will begin shipping to customers in Canada from the 27th of July. It is also being offered at a price of $529.99. This is only slightly more than the cost of the OnePlus 3 at $519, which makes it seem that the company is gunning for the OnePlus 3.

Premium Design and Display

The ZTE Axon 7 comes witha premium design in full metal. The phone is slightly bulky with dimensions of 151.7 x 75. 7.9 mm and it weighs 175 grams. This is heavier than the 158 grams of the OP3. The screen size is 5.5 inches and it comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, having an overlay of Gorilla Glass Gen 4. The major competition for this phone is the OnePlus 3 and as far as screen display is concerned, the Axon 7 clearly outpaces it. The OnePlus 3 comes with the same screen size of 5.5 inches, but with a smaller resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Inspired Aesthetics

The design is a full metal unibody creation that has reportedly been inspired by the aesthetics seen in luxury cars. The aesthetics are very appealing and it appears truly premium in appearance. The phone is available in Ion Gold and in Quartz Gray, with a fingerprint sensor mounted on the rear.

It also comes with a camera having a resolution of 20 MP having an aperture of f/1.8. As far as this feature is concerned, it is an improvement compared to the 16 MP camera and the f/2.0 of the OP3 shooter. The camera of the Axon 7 comes with dual LED flash feature as well as OIS. In addition, ZTE claims that the phone has a USB Type C port for charging and this should offer a speedy full charging within 100 minutes.

The audio is one of the highlighting points of the ZTE Axon 7. The device comes with a 32 bit, HiFi mobile audio, which is the first of its kind in America. There are dual speakers along with microphones as well as Dolby ATMOS, surround sound featured in this device.
