ZTE to Launch a “Breakthrough Concept Phone” at the MWC 2017 Show

ZTE MWC 2017

ZTE has recently confirmed that it will be live at the upcoming MWC 2017 tech show in Barcelona starting February 27 up to March 2.

This being the world’s largest mobile electronics show, ZTE seems to be fully prepared for the upcoming MWC 2017 event with a number of new items and technologies to show the world. Talk of the 5G evolution that is all over the internet space, advancements in cloud-based services, the ever-growing Internet of Things (IoT) as well as showcasing some of its recently-revealed phones such as the ZTE Axon 7 series and Blade V8 series as well – the company will indeed keep those attending the show quite busy. However, this is not everything that will be on show, according to the company’s teaser.

Looking at what ZTE has put forward with respect to the MWC 2017 invitations, the company has plans to unveil a breakthrough concept phone at this event. Other than noting that this phone will be advanced and exciting, there is nothing really much that ZTE gives out through these invitations.

However, the last time we heard of a concept phone we saw what happened – a magnificent Xiaomi Mi MIX was unveiled featuring an almost bezel-less design on the front panel with the display screen occupying more than 91% of the entire front panel. This Xiaomi Mi MIX also came in with the best hardware specs, including a 6.4-inch QHD screen, a Snapdragon 821 processor with either 4GB or 6GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage, respectively.

At the CES 2017, we saw ASUS unveil a ZenFone AR flagship – the first phone to come with 8GB RAM while at the same time the first phone to come with support for both Google Tango (AR) and Daydream (VR) platforms in a single package. Whether ZTE is having similar thoughts or not is still hard to tell, but you can be sure that the device will be available for preview at the MWC 2017 show this coming month.
