The all-new 2017 Audi A8 is scheduled to be officially revealed today but even before the big launch, the car has been spotted in the red carpet.
The car was originally scheduled to be revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The automobile brand had other plans because Frankfurt is one of the busiest motor shows of the year and they didn’t want the 2017 Audi A8 to get lost in the crowd. When the model hits dealership stores in the month of September, it will set you back by £70,000. The pricing is truly justified as Audi has been continuously promoting it as their luxury limousine with the best of features and technologies incorporated in it. When it hits stores, it will rival the likes of Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series model.
The designers who worked on the new A8 have ensured it is much better than the outgoing model. They have made the new car at least 37mm longer. The change allows the car to look longer offering more legroom while it will be narrower than the current model. The front grille with horizontal lines now makes the new A8 look wider than it has been so far and gains a muscular look which is what the designers were aiming to achieve in the first place.
With such increased space, the dashboard is quite spacious now and features a large 10.1-inch screen which is paired up with an equally large 8.6-inch secondary display to do a variety of tasks. Audi confirmed that the rear seat in the car will be spacious and are termed as luxury seating because of the legroom available. Passengers have the option to turn them left hand seat into a relaxation seat which immediately heats the footrest and adds massaging capabilities that they could enjoy on the go.
Under the hood, the 2017 Audi A8 is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 engine capable of rendering about 282 horsepower and an option V8 diesel engine which produces an impressive 429 horsepower. Buyers in the UK will have opportunity to go with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine producing 335 horsepower. Audi claims that their latest technology and improved powertrain management allows the car to provide the best mileage per gallon without compromising on speed.
After the 2017 A8 hits stores, Audi has also planned to launch the hybrid e-tron model to usher in an eco-friendly car to expand the A8 lineup.
