The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is a beast when it comes to bursting with power on the road and the auto brand is going to break new records with their next gen edition.
The official pricing for the ZL1 was revealed and pricing for the base model is at $62,135. The car uses a manual transmission system and is a coupe. If you find a convertible more appealing for its sporty design, open top and the elite finish, then be ready to shell out an increased price tag of $69,135. Such sporty models are usually priced on the higher side because of the premium components used in them. The new ZL1 2017 edition is no different yet it has been priced at an affordable point making it easier for more people to go for it.
Manual transmission gearbox is what Chevrolet is going to offer in both models. Going for a ten speed automatic transmission will surely boost the acceleration, gear ratio and give the driver more comfort. All they have to do is focus on driving and enjoy the experience. However, the brand didn’t reveal the pricing for the automatic model. If you are going to go for a convertible with an automatic gearbox, it is probably going to be the highest priced car in the lineup. We assumed the price would be somewhere around $75k or lower but it is purely a speculation at the moment.
Chevrolet was kind enough to let us know the type of powertrain they are going for. The 2017 Camaro ZL1 uses a 6.2-liter V8 engine which is capable of delivering a cool 650 horsepower coupled with 650 lb feet of torque. They have visibly bumped the engine to extract such power. The V8 engine is already used in the Corvette Z06 but it’s horsepower is at 640 and produces 640 lb feet of torque. By tweaking the right way, Chevrolet engineers have made it produce more.
The automobile manufacturer is working on a Camaro 1LE 2017 edition. It is a package which can used with the Camaro models. The LT V-6 edition costs $28,190 while the SS 1SS edition is priced at $37, 295. The pricing is usually added to the overall cost of the base models and is quite affordable when compared to going for a Camaro ZL1, a flagship model from Chevy. With the power package, these cars can reach 60 miles per hour in just 5.2 seconds.
